Lot 47: CD 135 CHICAGO INSULATING CO. [010] Color: Light Aqua Description: {Base embossed} This is the "base-embossed" variant of the "Fiske & Mott" insulator, as the "CHICAGO" style was known in the trade. The diamond cutouts were designed to minimize the contact of the tie wire with the insulator, in theory reducing the leakage. 1/2" base flake does not impact the embossing. Some flaking on the shoulder and a couple of scuffs. Estimate: $50 - $75 Open: $1 Price Realized: $132 |
