Lot 17: CD 110 BROOKFIELD [010] Color: Aqua Description: This insulator is nicknamed the "Baby Spiral Groove" and CD 110 is the smallest of the three styles that utilized John Barclay's October 8, 1907 patent for the spiral groove. A spiral extension above the wire groove was intended to facilitate installing or removing the insulator without removing the tie-wire. Some open bubbles and 1/8" flake on the base, 1/4" flake on the dome. A nice "baby spiral groove", only 3 3/8" tall. Estimate: $450 - $500 Open: $1 Price Realized: $484 |
