Lot 156: CD 1113 T68UNEL {Italy} Color: Clear w/ Wire and Clamps Description: This is a strain insulator called a "johnny ball." It is small, measuring only 2 5/8" long. One end is marked with "T68UNEL 38111". A clamp on each copper wire holds them in place. Strain insulators were designed to be used to insulate guy wires and dead ends. While strain insulators are prone to damage, this example seems to be in amazing condition. This is a nice example since it shows how the insulator is used with the addition of the wires!
