Lot 154: CD 1052 ST.LOUIS MALLEABLE [020] Color: Yellow Amber Description: These spools have been attributed to Hemingray; however, this embossing is much harder to obtain. Many if not all of these came from the Hemingray dump and typically have etching and chips and an unbroken pinhole window, indicating they were never used. This example is similar in condition to those. Hemingray produced these units for the St. Louis Malleable Casting Company of St. Louis, MO. This example has a 2" long flake on the ridge and a 1/2" bruise. A rare piece and a nice addition for the Hemingray collector! Estimate: $200 - $250 Open: $1 Price Realized: $462 |
