Lot 117: CD 257 HEMINGRAY  Color: Clear w/ Bracket  Description: This piece of industrial history has the original patina (dust and dirt) and was found in a steel mill in Pennsylvania. What's interesting is the clamp that anchors the insulator to the steel girder. The pin can be loosened and positioned anywhere from the top to the bottom of the bracket. In its normal configuration when the pin is vertical, you would run your lines horizontally. When the pin is rotated down to be horizontal, you can run your wires vertically. This configuration made it very convenient to run wires around the mill and down to the machines. A little penetrating oil might even be able to loosen up the bolts to be moved around. Aside from being dirty, the wide groove Mickey seems to be in excellent shape and can be easily removed from the bracket.
