Lot 109: CD 220 HEMINGRAY [070] Color: Honey Amber Description: These dark amber insulators were designed to mimic porcelain when used on the lines. This example has a 1" lightning flashover from the upper wire ridge to the base. On the opposite side is a smaller flashover 1/2" up from the inside of the skirt. [UPDATE: View 3 and view 4 show these front-lit to show the detail. They virtually go away when back-lit. It almost looks like sticker residue!] There are some other areas of wire rubs. This is an educational example of a lightning flashover and a testament to the strength of Hemingray insulators! Estimate: $150 - $200 Open: $1 Price Realized: $132 |
