Lot 28: CD 131.4 DEC. 19, 1871 [010] Color: Light Aqua Description: The CD 131.4 is the oldest Hemingray piece with a style number on it - "1". A study at the Springfield Mid-Ohio show identified four mold styles for this early piece. This is the one which is very distinctive where a chunk of the mold broke off above the wire ridge right in the center. 1/4" fisheye at the left rear mold line, otherwise very near mint. The Hemingray specialty collector needs all four molds, and this can get you started or fill a gap. Estimate: $200 - $250 Open: $1 Current Bid: $460 |
