Lot 36: CD 131.4 L.G.T.& CO. [010]  Color: Light Aqua  Description: This early "Mold Line Over the Dome" (MLOD) telegraph style insulator was produced for the telegraph and railway supply company of L.G. Tillotson. The CD 131.4 insulators were most likely produced in the 1870-1875 time frame. This example is embossed with patents issued to Homer Brooke and Louis A. Cauvet for improvements in the threading process. 1/4" skirt flake. A light tumble-cleaning would make this sparkle! [  UPDATE: The 1/8" dark "donut" in view two on the upper right, is a small ding where calcium appeared to leech in under the edges, leaving a white "donut" on the surface when lit from the front and a dark "donut" when backlit from some angles.]
Estimate: $150 - $200  Open: $1
