Telephone, Bronze; Great paperweight
View:  Main (Large)
Lot 158: Telephone  Color: Bronze  Description: This is a desk-sized little phone, measuring about 2 1/2" wide, 4" long, and 3" tall. The "dial" reads "Brantford / The Telephone City." Brantford is known as "Telephone City" because Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone there in 1874 while living at his parents' home. One could probably polish it up nicely or leave the original patina on it. A great paperweight or an eyecatching go-with for your collection with an interesting pedigree!
