They're old pieces with a lot of history, likely dating back to the same mid-1880s era as the similarly-shaped G.N.W. CD 143s. For whatever reason these don't seem to turn up often, and when they do they're very prone to damage. If you're lucky enough to dig one up or stumble across one, you're likely to love it for its character, glaze color, and for the wide variety of trimming variations you could find in it.
