Lot 175: M-2637 {Unmarked New Lexington} Color: Mottled Tan Description: Beautiful "lily shell" skirt! Taped inside the skirt are three tags: 1) "New Lexington High Voltage Insulator 1905" 2) "Rochester, Syracuse, and Eastern Ry." 3) "1 1/2 miles east of Egypt N.Y." A third of the umbrella has been professionally reglued and it's so perfect it's hard to notice the repair even if you know it's there. The rest of the insulator is in fine condition. You can see some mottled glaze, especially on the lower skirt. A classic style and a difficult piece to acquire! Estimate: $150 - $200 Open: $1 Price Realized: $352 |
