Lot 162: CD 376.2 FIDENZA {Italy} Color: Light Purple Description: This impressive three-part Light Purple power piece was produced in Italy. Fidenza Vetraria was an Italian glassworks in the Venice area, named for the town in which it was located. The insulator is smaller than you expect at only 6 7/8" in diameter and 6" tall. The top umbrella likely shaded the other two skirts (no pun intended) so they received less sunlight and haven't turned as purple. 1/4" bruise and lightning flashover on the crown, otherwise very near mint. These are quite difficult to find and especially desirable in this fine condition and standout color! Estimate: $400 - $500 Open: $1 Price Realized: $462 |
