Lot 155: CD 285 {Unembossed} [010]  Color: Green Aqua w/ Amber Blending  Description: An urban legend in the hobby reports that the "Edison" got its nickname because its bulbous dome resembles a light bulb. The smooth contours create a shape that's pleasing to the eye. These were used extensively in the Bangor - Ellsworth area of Maine, and a number of units have been discovered there over the years. The amber in the dome gives the insulator a greener appearance. 1" by 1 1/4" slice up from the rear wire ridge. A fracture runs around half the insulator in the middle of the skirt. A number of other dings and rough areas. This insulator will surely light up your collection, especially if you already have a bluer example to pair it with!
