Lot 130: CD 185 MINE INSULATOR [010] Color: Aqua Description: This mine insulator is marked only "MINE INSULATOR", although with the stamped embossing and the color, it is attributed to Hemingray. Mine insulators were used not only in mines, but to dead-end regular lines as well. Both of these situations tend to lead to more damage than usual, so many surviving mine insulators are not in very good shape. This example didn't fare too badly at all. 1/4" flake at the top, 1/8" skirt flake, a few scratches. This embossing fits in well with your collection of CD 185 mine insulators!
