Lot 63: CD 133? DEC. 19, 1871 [020] Color: Light Aqua w/ Seed Bubbles Description: Seed bubbles and chunks of snow can be seen floating around in the glass. 1/8" white impurity with an associated black trail can be seen in the dome. The shape of this insulator lies somewhere between a CD 133 and CD 133.4. 3/4" bruise at the base of the threads, otherwise easily very near mint. May have been lightly tumble cleaned. An overpour in the base raises up the piece 1/8". An attractive early Hemingray telegraph insulator. Estimate: $75 - $100 Open: $1 Price Realized: $88 |
