Lot 147: CD 194/195 HEMINGRAY [010] Color: Purple Description: Being out in the sun, these two-piece transpositions became truly "Sun-colored Amethyst" in color. The top is often slightly darker than the bottom. This top is a darker purple and the bottom a lighter purple than typically encountered. Of course, it's very unlikely that these were an original pair on the pole. Both are in easily very near mint condition, with a small area of scuffing on each piece. The bottom is significantly taller than average. This style of transposition insulator was found primarily in Florida. They were manufactured in 1945-46, as can be seen by the date codes.
