Lot 47: CD 127.1 W.U. Color: Blue EIN: [010] Description: This insulator is the "Western Union Pattern", a standard style back in the late 1860s. A few dings and scuffs here and there; overall fine condition for this early telegraph insulator. May have been manufactured in the Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania area. An oddity in that the large embossing on the skirt wraps completely around to the rear skirt where the "RN" at the end was engraved. A classic early threaded telegraph insulator!
