Lot 192: CD 680 "T-Bar" {Spain} Color: Straw Description: A fantastic "T-Bar"! Some factory annealing lines, especially in the pinhole. Easily very near mint. The Straw examples are equally as rare as their Red Amber counterparts. We believe there might only be 5-6 known. In October 1997, Marilyn Albers had a sales list with a straw "T-Bar" for a price of $400. Her comment on the sales list was "CD 680's are super rare insulators found only on the Island of Majorca. They are very old but no longer being used, so they have been scrapped and replaced with modern installations." [ UPDATE: this is quite a petite insulator. View 3 compares this to CD 102 (left, lot 16) and CD 579.3 (center, lot 186)] This insulator is from a more recent find in Majorca, and it is still a stunning piece of glass!
