Lot 156: CD 262 COLUMBIA Color: Aqua Description: This "Baby Columbia" is smaller in size than the "full-size" Columbia seen in lot 157. Very near mint. The "tie eyes" design was patented by Samuel Oakman on May 12, 1891 and makes for a unique style of insulator! Although the patent mentions "one or more eyes", the patent drawing shows the insulator with just a single "eye".
