Lot 193: SI 162 BROOKFIELD "Salesman's Sample" {CD 162 style} Color: Light Aqua Description: Typically found with weaker embossing, this is boldly embossed on both the skirt with "BROOKFIELD" and "STANDARD" and on the crown with "WESTERN" and "ELEC.CO." These were produced by Brookfield. They are referred to as "salesman's samples" in the hobby but their real purpose is not known; perhaps they were promotional items. Some chipping on the front skirt. This is quite a small insulator, only 1 1/4" tall. A great go-with for the Brookfield collector! Estimate: $150 - $250 Open: $10 Price Realized: $88 |
