What is green?

"Green" is a hard color to pin down. Here is our attempt to show some basic greens that are in the auction with an attempt to clarify the color of Lot #191 CD 317 Chambers and Lot #194 CD 132.4 "Chambers" 1871.

Green

We have what we feel are some well defined colors:

Lot #55 and M1: Lime Green. We purchased M1 from a knowledgable collector who called it "Lime Green" and we agree.

Lot #151 and M2 are just "basic green." No frills

Lot #47 is light green.

Lot #49 is often called "lime green" (those CD 133 H.G.CO. pieces) but after lining everything up, we do not believe that it is close to "lime green." We will not attempt to "name a color" for that piece at this point because collectors probably understand what it is.

With regard to Lot #191 CD 317 Chambers, looking at it, we would probably say "Bright Fizzy Green" but it's hard to "name it". Worse still, is Lot #194 CD 132.4... To be honest, it's hard to give it a color name. It is not "Lime Green" as we stated. Perhaps "Limey Green" as it seems to be between Lime Green and Green.

We hope this helps you out and sorry for the confusion.
