CD 134 DIAMOND P, Rich Apple Green; Very different standout color!

Lot 96: CD 134 DIAMOND P  Color: Rich Apple Green  Description: 2" base bruise in the rear, otherwise about very near mint. Aqua and pastel Diamond P's are the most common colors, and these green examples are much more difficult to find. It is likely that the "P in a diamond" logo refers to James Pennycuick, who designed a unique method for "forming screw threads on glass" while leaving the plunger in place during annealing. The date of his patent, August 11, 1885, is embossed on the rear. A nice bright and saturated color!
Estimate: $500 - $600  Open: $10
