Lot 196: CD 723.3 {Unembossed Wade} Color: Sapphire Blue Description: Outstanding condition with just minor flaking on the base from a factory overpour. May have been lightly tumble cleaned. Nicknamed the "Smooth Wade", these were used with a wooden cover to protect the glass. Aqua and blue aqua examples are fairly common. This example exactly matches the color of the sapphire N.E.G.M. "beehive", seen in lot 123! "Sapphire Blue" is not listed in the Price Guide as a known color for this Wade. An extremely rare and unusual color in wonderful shape!
