Lot 93: CD 149 "Burbrook" Color: Aqua w/ Amber Swirls Description: Some typical chatter around the sharp upper wire ridge in the rear. This interesting "pointed bullet" insulator is designated the "Burbrook" Extra Deep Groove Double Petticoat in the 1907 Stuart-Howland Catalogue. This is an unusual variant, where the insulator is 1/2" taller than the typical CD 149, such as the Brookfield embossed variant shown in lot 92. It appears the manufacturer may have put a 1/2" skirt extension on the bottom to make the piece taller. This could be an uncommon variant worth a premium over the standard-sized piece.
