Lot 31: CD 121 PATD SEPT 19TH, 1899 Color: Green Description: Small base flake removes about two "drip points". There is a bit of yellow in this piece but probably not enough to call it Yellow Green. There are hints of lime in it as well. The patent date refers to Frederick H. Withycombe's patent for projections or ridges to absorb mechanical shock. A nice bright color, and given the low pinhole and extra dome glass, it really glows! These green shades don't come on the market very often, and this is a very nice example for your collection!
