Lot 189: San Francisco Trolley Wooden Insulator Color: Reddish/Blondish "Two Tone" Description: {No inner skirt} Lightly refinished. An unusual "two tone;" one side appears redder and the grain is tight, and on the other side the color is blonder and shows signs of being weathered more. The contrast is so striking, it's like you are looking at two different insulators! Made of lignum vitae, this insulator was used on the trolley system in San Francisco, California.
