Lot 56: CD 143 CANADIAN PACIFIC  Color: Purple  Description: 1 1/2" base bruise, otherwise great condition! These insulators were produced for the Canadian Pacific Railway Company, which was incorporated in 1881 to construct Canada's first transcontinental rail line. The line was completed in 1885 when the eastern and western sections met in Craigellachie, B.C. These colorful CD 143s are popular with collectors; see lot 57 for a deep royal purple example! (#0122)
