Lot 199: CD 729 {Unembossed} Color: Light Aqua Description: 2" base bruise, 1/2" wire ridge chip. Lightly tumble cleaned. According to historical information the family of threadless insulators that includes the CD 729 incorporated the best features of the "egg" style and the "hat" style, and was sometimes called the "compromise" style. The CD 729 is much less common than some of the others. They have been found in the eastern part of the United States, and are usually found in darker and/or greener colors, so in this instance "plain old aqua" commands a premium!
