Lot 225: San Francisco Trolley Insulator Color: Mottled Brown Finish Description: {Inner skirt variant} These insulators range from natural to heavily refinished and polished. This one falls in the middle, having been lightly refinished, however it still retains some of its crudeness, making a nice compromise. Great condition! Compare it with lot 226, which is in nearly original condition. The insulators were made from the dense wood lignum vitae, and were used on the San Francisco trolley system.
