Lot 148: CD 121 W.F.G.CO. Color: Dark Cornflower Blue Description: A crude piece with annealing fissures in the threads and crown, as one often sees in insulators from the Western Flint Glass Company, which was only around for about a year at the turn of the century. The company appeared to prefer quantity over quality and was quite prolific during its short lifetime. The colors that W.F.G. insulators were made in are quite different from those made by other manufacturers, and this is a great example! (#2005) Estimate: $400 - $500 Open: $1 Price Realized: $308 |
