Dunton Tree Bracket; The rarest of the tree brackets, with only a couple known!
View:  Main (Large)
Lot 12: Dunton Tree Bracket  Description: This bracket was patented by Charles W. Dunton of Boston, MA and the hanger is boldly embossed "PAT OCT 17 1905". The bracket sports a Lime Green CD 102 Brookfield insulator on a wooden pin. What is unusual is that the insulator mount is designed to rotate 360 degrees! The tension in the line wire holds the mount up while allowing for some slack as the tree bends in the wind. There are several styles of tree brackets, but this is the rarest, with only two known examples. If you like rare or unusual hardware, this is for you!
