Lot 166: CD 259 CABLE [020] Color: Blue Aqua Description: Patented by Samuel Oakman in 1890, this style was developed to hold a heavy cable or to change direction on a high voltage line. Brookfield produced many CD 259 insulators that were embossed with the single word "CABLE" for electrical supply companies to sell to the utilities.
